Garlic Butter Broccoli

Broccoli is the perfect accompaniment for many main dishes. It only needs a little dressing up to make it fabulous.

Equipment

  • 1 knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • 1 large pot
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 slotted spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 head broccoli cut in florets
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 4-5 minutes.
  • While the broccoli is blanching, melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl,
  • Add the garlic. lemon juice, salt and pepper. You can use fresh lemon as an alternative. Bottled will do fine in this recipe if that is what you have.
  • Stir to combine.
  • When the broccoli is done blanching, remove it with a slotted spoon and transfer it to a baking dish.
  • Immediately toss with the butter and garlic mixture.
  • Serve immediately. Broccoli gets cold quickly.
