Equipment

  • 1 knife
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 hamburger patty press (optional)
  • 1 frying pan or griddle

Ingredients
  

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 tsp. dried basil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 8 Keto hamburger buns
  • Lettuce
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 provolone slices

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  • Shape into patties and chill while the other ingredients are prepared.
  • Toast the hamburger buns; then, set them aside.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter.
  • Add the sliced onion and mushrooms.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Cook until onions are caramelized and mushrooms are soft. Remove and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, fry the hamburger patties until they reach the desired doneness.
  • Place a slice of cheese on each patty and turn the heat to low.
