This is a simple burger to make that packs a punch of flavor. The onion is mixed into the meat to infuse it with flavor. Not only are the burgers infused with onion flavor, but it is topped with caramelized onions, too. Provolone slices balance out the flavor of the onions with a creamy, cheesy texture. This is a simple and straightforward burger, but it is sure tasty!
ingredients
1 onion, chopped
3 tsp. dried basil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 lbs. ground beef
8 Keto hamburger buns
Lettuce
4 Tbsp. butter
4 oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 onion, sliced
8 provolone slices
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, basil, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined. Shape into patties and chill while the other ingredients are prepared.
Toast the hamburger buns; then, set them aside.
In a skillet, melt the butter.
Add the sliced onion and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until onions are caramelized and mushrooms are soft. Remove and keep warm.
In the same skillet, fry the hamburger patties until they reach the desired doneness.
Place a slice of cheese on each patty and turn the heat to low. Cover with some foil until the cheese is melted.
Serve patties on buns with onions and mushrooms on top.
