Roasted Green Beans with Pecans and Almonds
Green beans acquire a nutty flavor when roasted. Since they already have a nutty flavor, wny not add more nuts?

- 2 lbs. fresh green beans, trimmed
- Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
- A good amount of salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced or slivered almond
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Spread the trimmed green beans on a sheet pan. Toss generously with olive oil, salt and pepper.
Roast the green beans in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle generously with the sliced almonds and pecans over the green beans. Toss to combine.
Place the beans back in the oven and roast until the almonds are golden, about another 8 minutes.
