Equipment

  • 1 knife
  • 2 Small bowl
  • grill or grill pan
  • 1 large spoon or spatula
  • 1 small spoon or whisk
  • 1 silicone brush
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tbsp. Swerve brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 4 salmon filets
  • 1/2 red onion sliced thin
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. chives
  • 1/4 cup sweet red chili sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger paste
  • 1 tsp. cayenne
  • Vegetable oil for grilling
  • Sliced green onion for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, salt and pepper, cayenne, chili powder and cumin.
  • Rub the spice mix on the salmon.
  • In a grill pan, saute the sliced onions until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, chives, red chili sauce and ginger paste.
  • Mix well.
  • Heat the grill and add the salmon, skin side down, for 4-5 minutes.
  • Brush the glaze on the salmon while cooking.
  • Flip and cook another 2-5 minutes.
  • Top the salmon with the sauteed onions and garnish with green onions.
