Quick Celebrate Card

Rate this post

This card is an easy craft to make if you need a card on the pronto! I like to make several of these at one time that all have different embellishments or paper to fit the occasion. Follow my guide below to have a card ready whenever you need it.

Supplies

1 sheet of card stock, cut in half

1 sheet patterned scrapbook paper

1 coordinating colored strip of card stock

1 rubber stamp sentiment or sticker sentiment or rubon

1 scrap piece of white cardstock

Bone folder

1 black ink pad if using a rubber stamp

Embellishments

Double-sided photo tape

Paper cutter

Instructions

Cut cardstock to use as a base 4-1/4″ x 11″. Fold in half and burnish the crease with a bone folder.

Cut the patterned paper to use as the cover 5-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Adhere the paper to the front of the card, using double-sided tape.

Cut a strip of the coordinating cardstock to 4-1/2″ x 1-1/2″.

Load the stamp sentiment with black ink. Stamp the strip so that the last letter of the sentiment lines up with the right side of the strip. Adhere the stamped strip to the coordinating cardstock strip. Adjust the size of the stamped strip by trimming it if you would like more of a border to show underneath.

Adhere toward the bottom of the front of the card with double-sided tape, leaving 1/2″ between the strip and the bottom of the card. Burnish down the paper with the bone folder to make sure that all the papers have adhered well.

Place the embellishment to the left of the stamped sentiment. You can use any stamp sentiment and embellishment that you like to customize the occasion for the card. If you do not have a sentiment stamp, a sticker sentiment or rub-on will work as well. Everyone appreciates a handmade card no matter the occasion.
