Worldmark Resort Las Vegas Boulevard

Rate this post

Even though the Worldmark Resort is located on Las Vegas Boulevard, it is well off the Las Vegas Strip, but very close to the airport. The Strip is only a short drive away from the airport and easy to access from several exits off the freeway. The Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas are only a short 10-minute drive from the resort.

I really enjoyed staying at this resort. Our unit was located on the second floor with a nearby elevator. Covered guest parking is available on the first floor of every building allowing close access to an elevator. The resort provides a flatbed card, like those found at warehouse clubs, such as Costco and Sam’s, for guest to haul their luggage and gear to their units. All units have outdoor entry; The front door of our unit was facing an industrial lot that was not very nice to look at, but the back door view totally made up for that. Our unit had a huge private balcony overlooking a pool. It was not the main pool area, so this pool was fairly quiet. Not all the units had such a huge balcony, so we were grateful for this placement.

The master bedroom and the living area both have sliding glass doors with blackout curtains that open to the balcony, which is nice. The living room area is well-appointed and includes a Murphy bed on one side. The living room and kitchen are together in the main part of the apartment and include a dining table that seats 6 people and some bar stools placed at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is roomy and includes a refrigerator and freezer and a dishwasher. All dishes, cookware, utensils and some necessities are included, such as a coffee maker and blender.

The unit had two bedrooms. The master bedroom contained a king-size bed and private bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The mattress was of good quality. Blackout curtains covered the sliding glass door to the patio, which was nice for sleeping in.

The second bedroom contained two twin beds with good-quality mattresses. A separate bathroom was across the hall. The guest bathroom was huge; it was probably three times larger than the master bath. Both bedrooms had closets with bifold doors and flat-screen TVs.

Eating out all the time while on vacation is expensive and sometimes inconvenient. The location of the Worldmark Las Vegas Boulevard is within a block or two of a large grocery store, Even if you do not cook full meals in the apartment, it is always nice to have some snacks, breakfast food, and other amenities on hand for a quick meal. Barbecue pits are available for grilling.

The resort has three pools to enjoy. The main pool in the middle of the resort is usually busy because it includes a children’s pool, a lazy river and a larger pool that is closest to the lobby area. The two other pools are quieter, but each has a large in-ground hot tub. All the pools have lounge chairs, but it is difficult to find an available lounge chair at the main pool. The pools close at 10:00 p.m. which reduces the noise in those areas during the night. Lifeguards attend the main pool, but the other two pools are not attended.

The resort also claims a basketball goal, a gym with treadmills, weights and other state-of-the-art equipment, The resort provides a free shuttle service to and from the strip to avoid the expensive parking situation in that area.

The thing I do not like about timeshare resorts is that most times, the establishment gives a hard sell to buy into their timeshare system. They will offer all kinds of incentives to get you to a presentation, using coupons, free entertainment tickets, cruises, extra weeks, etc. Do not believe them when they say the presentation will only take 90 minutes of your time. That is never true; it always takes at least 45 minutes past that. You have the power to say no to those presentations. Yes, you might lose out on a legitimate incentive, but you can say no. The good news about the Worldmark Las Vegas Boulevard resort is that they did not put on the pressure to attend the presentation. They may not always do that, but they did not do it this time. It was refreshing.

All in all, we enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again when in the Las Vegas area.
