Club Wyndham Fairfield Glade is located in Crossville, Tennessee between Nashville and Pigeon Forge. It is a two-hour drive to both cities, plus it is a 2-hour drive to Chattanooga. Crossville is a small, quiet town nestled in the Cumberland Valley in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. The surroundings are beautifully forested with rolling hills all around.
The resort offers quite a few amenities, such as miniature golf, walking trails, lakes with beaches and boat rentals, golf courses, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool, arcade games, basketball, bike rentals, fishing, children’s activities and more. No matter the time of year, you can find something to fill your time during your stay. The resort is spread out in a forested area, making the property very picturesque.
Club Wyhndham is a timeshare property, so guests should expect a hard sell to attend a timeshare presentation. Many people like to attend these events to receive some of the attractive sounding free gifts for attendance. As a veteran timeshare owner, say no to these events. The “free” gifts are never what they seem to be, so in my opinion, it is not worth it.
The condo unit is a split level design featuring two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen and a living area with a fireplace. The master bedroom is located on the bottom level of the condo. The master has access to a balcony looking over a rshaded ravine, which is the perfect place to enjoy some quiet moments. The master bathroom is huge with a walk in shower and jacuzzi tub. The washer and dryer is conveniently located in a closet in the master bedroom.
The entry-level of the condo opens to a small foyer with a coat closet and a second bedroom and bathroom. The second bathroom is appointed with two twin beds and is quite roomy. The attached bathroom is large and bright. Because the condo is a split level, this middle level accesses the stairs going up to the living area and kitchen and stairs going down to the master bedroom suite.
The upper level included the kitchen dining area and living area. This space includied a wood-burning fireplace and a balcony overlooking the ravine. The balcony was directly above the master bedroom balcony. The staff provided ricks of wood as needed to use in the fireplace. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit cold to enjoy time on the balcony, but it was perfect for sitting in front of a roaring fire. Whenever you stay at a place with a fireplace, please use cautionary and safety measures for building a fire. A dining table was located on this level as well. All in all, this was a very large, enjoyable space.
If you want some peace and quiet and a low-key resort, this is the resort for you. The resort is located at the foot of the Smoky Mountains between Nashville and Pigeon Forge. Day-trippers can choose Nashville, Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg or Knoxville as a destination; however, each city is at least a two-hour drive. All these destinations are ideal places to visit, but it is a lot of time in the car if you choose to travel to more than one.
