Horseshoe Vegas Hotel – Formerly Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Caeser’s has converted the property to Horseshoe. LAX Nightclub – Located at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, this nightclub headlines celebrity DJs. The club opens at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday with a $30 cover charge. Get there early because there is usually at least a 45-minute wait to get in.

LINQ Hotel and Casino – The LINQ is centrally located on The Strip. This hotel is hard to miss because it is flanked by the Linq Promenade on one side and the Observation Wheel behind it. A zipline traverses from one end of the Promenade to the other. Visit the shops and restaurants on the Promenade, and if you get too hot, visit the famous Ice Bar inside. Lots of unique experiences at the Linq.
The LINQ Promenade – You can spend all day at the LINQ Promenade, eating at restaurants and shopping at all the unique shops. The Promenade provides a slightly different experience than the other hotels and casinos on the Strip.
LINQ Zipline – Soar 1,080 feet above the Promenade from one end to the other on a zipline that spans 10 lines across.
Lion Habitat Ranch – A place that offers a loving habitat for lions. Get to know the lions at this ranch by making a visit while in Las Vegas. Check the website for more information and hours of operation.

Love Sign at the Venetian – One of the best photo ops in Las Vegas! The LOVE sculpture is in a beautiful waterfall setting. It is usually crowded with people trying to get pictures with the giant LOVE word so be patient.
Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino – Sandwiched between the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay is the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Don’t try to walk from one to the other, though; take the tram that runs between the Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. The tram lets you out at a giant sphinx that visitors walk through into the hotel. You will find quite a few shows at the giant glass pyramid hotel, including Blue Man Group. Gamers will never want to leave the Gaming Arena. Lots to do here.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museums – Tour the world’s largest wax museum that is full of your favorite celebrities. Madame Tussauds is found at the Venetian. See the website for ticket information.
Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil at New York New York – Guests are serenaded by tunes from famous stage musicals while they are dazzled with acrobatics, dancing, magic and humor.
Magic Shows – Vegas is the place to go for spectacular magic shows. Some shows are residencies and some come and go. Check the website or perform a quick internet search for a current listing.
Mandalay Bay Beach – All Las Vegas resorts have spectacular pool areas, but Mandalay Bay offers what is more like a mini waterpark. The resort has the normal types of pools, but they also provide a wave pool and a long lazy river for their guests. It’s 11 acres of aquatic fun!
Mario Andretti Racing Experience – Have you ever dreamed of driving an Indy-style race car around the track like professional drivers? Well, now you have your chance. With a little bit of instruction and a spotter in your earpiece, you can drive as fast as you want by yourself around the track. Check the website for more information.
Marvel Avengers Station at Treasure Island – Immerse yourself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this interactive venue. If you are a Marvel fan, you don’t want to miss this exhibit. Check the website for details.
M&M’s World – Explore all things M&Ms at the M&Ms superstore located next to the MGM Grand Resort and Casino on Las Vegas Blvd. Imagine 4 levels of chocolate goodness. Make sure to make some customized M&Ms for yourself to bring home.
Mermaid Swim at the Silverton – Located on the South side of Las Vegas Blvd., the aquarium at the Silverton Hotel and Casino is rated as one of the best attractions in Las Vegas. The kids will love the mermaid show where live “mermaids” swim in the tanks with the fish. This is worth going off the Strip for a one-of-a-kind show.
MGM Grand Hotel and Casino – When getting around on the Strip, you will most likely have to walk through the MGM Grand to take the tram from one point to the other. The tram is a little tricky to find because it is located at one end of the shops that are accessed past the lobby and down below. The hotel is gigantic and can take an hour to walk from one side to another.
Mini Golfing in Las Vegas – Mini golf courses abound in Las Vegas. The themed courses are appropriate for adults or children. Check the website for a theme that fits your family or purpose.
Minus 5 Ice Bar – Visit one of three Minus 5 Ice Bar locations in Las Vegas. You can take a break and literally chill during happy hour. Everything in this bar is made of ice, including the glasses. Warm clothing is provided at the entrance.
Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino – Branded the “Miracle Mile Shops” because of the 1.5 miles of shopping and dining pleasure that encircles the theater in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. From unique stores, like Magnets, Inc., Sock Me and Wyland Galleries to high-end shops, like Yves Chantre Paris, Steve Madden and Brighton Collectibles. There is something for everyone.
Mirage Hotel and Casino – The Mirage is located on the Strip between Caesar’s Palace and The Venetian. The Mirage was acquired by the Hard Rock Corporation and will soon be no more. The Hard Rock will replace it and reopen under a new name in 2023.
MJ “One” by Cirque Du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay – This focuses on the music of Michael Jackson. The sound system and choreography complement the acrobatics and dance sequences.
Moapa Valley – One hour from Las Vegas lies Moapa Valley. Stop at the Lost City Museum explains the history of the Pueblo people or visit the Valley of Fire. The Logandale Trails System offers many opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts where you may spot some bighorn sheep. Visit the Moapa Valley Wildlife Refuge to see endangered species that only reside here.
Moapa Valley Wildlife Refuge – The purpose of the Moapa Valley Wildlife Refuge is to secure a place for the Moapa Valley dace, which is an endangered species of fish. Lots of other things to do in this area.

Mojave Desert – You will have to cross the border of Nevada into California to visit the Mojave Desert. The Mojave Desert is a 2-1/2 hour drive from the Strip. Movie Prop Experience – Go take a look at a variety of movie props from your favorite movies and TV shows. This experience is located in the Neonopolis on Fremont Street. Check the website for more details.
Mystere by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island – Mystere is the oldest and longest-running Cirque du Soleil show in Vegas. You will find it helpful to read a synopsis to get a good handle on what is going on in the plot. The show presents beautiful music and colorful costumes along with acrobatics and feats of strength as the show explores the origins of the universe.
Mystic Falls Park – Take a stroll through an indoor park, located inside Sam’s Town. Stay for the laser light show. See website for details.
National Atomic Testing Museum – Browse permanent and rotating exhibits that are all about the atomic bomb. Shop the museum store for apparel and all kinds of atomic novelties.
National Geographic’s Rarely Seen Photo Exhibition – Everyone loves the beautiful photography inside the National Geographic Magazine. Immerse yourself in an audio-visual display while listening to a companion of sounds. The exhibit also includes a talk from a National Geographic photographer. You can see this exhibit at the Horseshoe Las Vegas, formerly Bally’s.
Nelson Landing Ghost Town – Nelson Ghost Town is the perfect place for photographs. This area once thrived with gold miners rushing to strike it rich. Outlaws gave it a bad reputation until the mines were depleted. Check the website for more information.
Neon Museum – See the signs! The neon signs, that is! Check out iconic Las Vegas signage in this unique museum collection. Purchase tickets before you go to make sure the museum is not sold out.
Nevada State Museum Las Vegas – The museum is only open from Thursday to Monday, so it takes a bit of scheduling around other activities to visit this museum. Purchase tickets through Springs Preserve to enter. Nevada State Museum educates visitors about the natural history found in the state of Nevada.
Nevada State Railroad Museum – Exhibits at this museum include photographs, artifacts, locomotives and artifacts associated with the railroad history of Nevada. Admission is $8 for adults and free for children 17 and under. See the website for hours of operation and location.
New York New York Hotel and Casino – Walking through the shops at this resort is like walking the streets of New York City. You could spend all day exploring this resort and casino. A major attraction at this casino is the roller coaster, but what many people do not know is that there is a very large arcade at the roller coaster entrance with all kinds of arcade games. The hotel is the home for the Mad Apple Cirque du Soleil show along with many other entertainment venues and restaurants. The New York New York is located across the street from the MGM Grand resort, but really, you can’t miss it. Look for the New York City skyline. Its location is obvious.
Nostalgia Street Rods Museum – View over 150 hot rods, scooters, street rods and auto memorabilia at this unique museum. See the website for details.
“O” by Cirque Du Soleil at the Bellagio – Playing at the Bellagio Resort and Casino, “O” intertwines theater and water to showcase the idea of infinity.
Old Las Vegas Morman Fort State Historic Park – Visit the remains of the first permanent, non-native settlement in Nevada built by Morman missionaries. Where is it? It is located in Downtown Las Vegas!
Omnia Nightclub – Clubbers won’t want to miss this fantastic club at Caeser’s Palace. This nightclub is ticketed so check the website for pricing and hours of operation.
Origen Museum – Located within the Springs Preserve, this museum has lots of interesting exhibits. Check the website for a list of traveling exhibits on the property.
Paddlewheel Boat on Lake Mead – Lake Mead and Hoover Dam are a short drive from Las Vegas. The Desert Princess paddlewheel boat is one of the best ways to tour both of these venues. The boat is climate-controlled and offers brunch tours, mid-day tours and dinner tours.
Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge – This is literally an oasis in the desert. Wetlands are surrounded by the Mojave Desert and provide refuge for migrating birds and other animals. Admission is free for everyone for hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. The park is located about an hour and a half North of Las Vegas. Check the website for Summer and Winter visiting hours.
Paris Eiffel Tower Light Show – The Eiffel Tower Replica in Las Vegas is a skyline icon. Not only can you dine in the restaurant located at the 100-foot mark, but you can travel all the way to a 46th-floor height to view stunning panoramas of The Strip. If you can’t do either one of those, you can always see the light show from safely on the ground. The light show mimics the show that the real Eiffel Tower presents. Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino – Walking through the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino will transport you to the City of Lights. You will feel like you are in the City of Lights. The detail in this property is amazing. Of course, Paris Las Vegas provides all the gaming you can afford and a wonderful resort experience.
Pinball Hall of Fame – Does anyone ever see any pinball machines anywhere nowadays? Well, you can at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Here, you can see and play over 200 pinball machines. These literally come with all the bells and whistles.
Pioneer Saloon – If you are going to make the 36-minute drive to Goodsprings, NV to see the oldest saloon in Nevada, you might as well plan on going for lunch to get a really great burger and an ice-cold beer.
Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino – The successful Planet Hollywood Resort does not lack in activities. Popovich Comedy Pet Theater – Kids will love this show that includes a variety of household pets. Adults will love it, too! Good clean fun at a very reasonable price.
Potted Potter Show – A comedy show that presents all 7 Harry Potter Books in 70 minutes. Think about that for a minute. This hilarious show is located at the Horseshoe.

Princess Diana Exhibit – A new attraction in Las Vegas at the Shops at Crystals connected to the Aria Resort and Casino. The exhibit features over 700 artifacts, including handwritten letters, many of her famous dresses, information about her legacy and so much more.
Purple Rain Prince Tribute at the Tropicana – Experience all of Prince’s most popular music in one show, so you can party like it’s 1999. See the website for tickets.
Real Bodies Exhibit at Bally’s – Real bodies make up the interactive exhibits in this collection. If you are in the medical field or love physiology and anatomy, you will love this attraction.
Red Rock National Conservation Area – Located 17 miles West of Las Vegas, visitors can experience hiking trails, beautiful scenic drives, rock climbing, nature exhibits at the visitor center and a book store. Click the link for more information.
Rex Center – Remember to wear your close-toed shoes for a fun time racing go-karts, playing mini golf and climbing rock walls. Half-day and full-day passes are available for a fun time for the whole family. Located at the Boulevard Mall on the Strip.
Rhyolite Ghost Town – Located a couple of hours Northwest of Las Vegas lies the once-booming town of Rhyolite. In the early 1900s, gold miners struck it rich in the area, making this town bustle with buildings and activities. Unfortunately, the stock market crash also crashed the town, and it was eventually abandoned. Some walls of the buildings still stand in this eerie reminder of the end of the Gold Rush days. It’s worth checking out if you have the time.
St. Mark’s Square at the Venetian – The real St. Mark’s Square in Venice, Italy is a happening place that contains the St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, the Campanile Tower and hundreds of pigeons. OK.Ok. The Las Vegas version is not the same, and there are especially no pigeons. The Venetian Resort provides a mini version of the real St. Mark’s Square where you can see the Streetmosphere show and Street vendors and perform while sipping coffee at one of the cafes.
Seaquest Interactive Aquarium – Interact with many different animals or purchase a safari package for a fun experience. Located in the Boulevard Mall on the Strip.
Secret Pizza at Cosmopolitan – It’s secret because you have to know it is there to find it. Located on the Third floor of The Cosmopolitan, Secret Pizza serves up New York-style pizza. Follow the wall of albums to find the entrance.
Seven Magic Mountains – A colorful grouping of colorful stacks of boulders in the middle of nowhere with the mountains as a backdrop. You can make this a stop on a day trip to Goodspring Ghost Town and the Pioneer Saloon.
Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay – This is actually a very impressive aquarium for its location and size. Worth the trip all the way to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and the price for admission.
Shark Tank Inside the Golden Nugget – You can swim with the fishes, sort of, at the Golden Nugget pool. Well, as much as you would want to swim with these sharks anyway. The pool has a water slide tube that goes straight through the shark tank. Take a tour of the shark tank to learn about the care of these fish and educate yourself about sharks.
Shelby Heritage Center – Visit the showroom of Shelby cars for FREE. When is anything in Vegas FREE? Check out the website for more information.
The Shops at Crystals – A shopping mecca for all your favorite designer brands all in one place, The Shops at Crystals is located between the Cosmopolitan and Aria Resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Slotzilla Zipline – Soar 7 to 11 stories above Fremont Street on this zipline adventure. It is the best way to view downtown Las Vegas.

St. Thomas Ghost Town – This Mormon settlement was abandoned and flooded when the Hoover Dam was completed. As the drought started to dry up parts of Lake Mead, St. Thomas began to re-emerge. The town lies about 90 minutes from Las Vegas on the Northern side of the lake.
Statue of David Replica at Caeser’s Palace – The Statue of David in Florence, Italy is an impressive site to see, but seeing the real thing is the trip of a lifetime. A replica is located in the halls of the Appian Way shops at Caeser’s Palace for all to see. There is nothing like the real thing, but I guess this is the next best thing.
The Strat Hotel and Casino – You can’t miss The Strat. Its iconic observation tower can be seen from anywhere in Las Vegas. The Strat boasts the observation tower, thrill rides, Atomic Golf, Skyjump, art installments and events, not to mention a hotel and casino. If you are visiting the resort as you make your way down the Strip, make sure you drive. It is a lot further than it looks.
Stratosphere Observation Deck Tower (Skypod) – For $20 you can travel to the top of the Stratosphere Observation Deck Tower for phenomenal views of Las Vegas. The tower contains a viewing deck, restaurant and thrill rides.
Streetmosphere at the Venetian – While strolling along the Grand Canal Shoppes, you will eventually come to a mini replica of St. Mark’s Square. This location hosts a variety of performances, including singers, dancers, live statues and musical groups. The performances occur every day and are free for everyone to enjoy.

Taste Test at the Coca-Cola Store – Taste all the Coca-Cola brands from around the world. Some are great and some are … interesting. Depending on what you try, you will want a taste of the real thing to cleanse your palate.

Titanic Exhibition at the Luxor – The story of the Titanic is a fascinating one for most people. The Luxor hosts the Titanic Exhibit so that you can experience what it was like on the ship. The same exhibit is located in other cities around the country, and it is the same everywhere so whether or not the artifacts installed there are real is questionable; however, it is a very good exhibit with a lot of information.

Top of the World Restaurant at the Stratosphere – Enjoy a luxurious meal with absolutely incredible views of the city and surrounding area from this iconic restaurant that rotates. Sunsets never looked so amazing!
Tournament of Kings Dinner and show at the Excalibur – This is a great show, especially if you have the kids in tow. Lots of dueling and jousting on horses. The meal is only OK, but it is decent since it is included in the ticket price.
Town Square Las Vegas – Shopping and dining may seem more peaceful in a setting other than the Strip. Click the link for directions and directory..
Toy Shack – Located in Downtown Las Vegas, you may never extract the kids out of this toy store. It is filled with unique toys. See the website for more information.
Treasure Island Hotel and Casino – Home to Mystere by Cirque du Soleil and Marvel Avengers STATION, this hotel and casino has lots of features for a fabulous stay.
Treehouse Playground at the Container Park – The kids will love this playground! Check it out.
Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel and Casino – The Tropicana Resort is across the street from the MGM Grand, Excalibur and New York New York. It is one of the older hotels on the Strip, but worthy of your attention. The Tropicana hosts multiple shows and other entertainment. Another tip is that they have a free parking garage.
Tuscany Hotel and Casino – This hotel advertises that it is within walking distance of the Strip, but I wouldn’t suggest that. Some areas of the Strip are not the safest and the distance between one resort and another is a lot longer than it looks. This hotel is a good value and provides a pool, casino, spa dining and entertainment. Check the website for photos and details.
Valley of Fire State Park – Northeast of Las Vegas is the Valley of Fire State Park. It is a 45-minute drive from Las Vegas and definitely worth a day trip. The Valley of Fire provides a Visitor Information Center that has a small museum about the park. Campsites are available for tent camping and RV camping with showers and restrooms. Sheltered picnic areas and trails make this park an enjoyable day trip. The park also offers free wifi.
Venetian Resort Las Vegas – If you have the means to stay here, you should do it. The Venetian is a unique hotel with more amenities to mention. You could stay here for a week and never see the rest of Las Vegas because there is so much to do. Check their website for offers and deals.
Viva Vision light show on Fremont Street – Visit Fremont Street at night to see the sky light up with this light show. The display starts off the evening at 6 p.m. and runs every hour on the hour until 2 a.m. You don’t want to miss it!
V Theater and Saxe Theater – A variety of shows performed at the four-theater complex located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. Check the list of shows for tickets and showtimes at the link.
Wet n Wild – Cool off from the desert heat at this fun water park. Enjoy all the water slides and water fun only 25 minutes from the Strip. Check the website for hours of operation.
