If you are interested in meal prepping but are not sure what it is, meal prepping is the practice of preparing elements of a meal ahead of time to make preparation easier. Sometimes it also means making a dish to store in the refrigerator that is ready to go on demand.
I started meal prepping several years ago and it has changed my life. The first time was the hardest because I didn’t really know what I was doing and I did not have a plan. I found out during that first week how my efforts were rewarded with less dinnertime confusion and chaos. It was definitely something that I wanted to do on a regular basis. Now, two years later, I have streamlined my meal-prepping process into something that works for me. I spend one day in the kitchen preparing elements of the meals I have planned throughout the week. Meal planning is key to the process by knowing what preparations must be done as far as chopping, slicing, preparing and cooking. Everything is ready to go when I need it.
sometimes I am not able to meal prep due to what is going on in life. I can definitely tell the difference that occurs without it. We eat more healthily at home and there is no dinnertime rush as in days gone by. If you are interested in meal prepping, make a plan that works for you and give it a whirl.
