Grilling season is almost here, and in Texas, that’s something we don’t take lightly. With beef prices what they are, I want every steak I cook to be worth it, which starts with choosing quality meat. That’s exactly what you’ll find with Sterling Farms.
Established in 2005, Sterling Farms is a 90-acre family farm operation nestled in the Post Oak Savanna between Austin, Houston and San Antonio. What began as a cow-calf operation of Black Baldies (a Hereford/Angus cross) has grown into a full farm-to-table experience. Their animals are born, bred, and carefully finished on site with a grain-finished program designed to enhance marbling and flavor. All meats are processed locally under USDA inspection, then aged and vacuum-sealed for peak freshness and quality.
Over the years, Sterling Farms has expanded to include Duroc hogs, Dorper sheep, and even bees, all while maintaining a commitment to raising animals without added hormones, additives, or preservatives. The result is thoughtfully produced meat that you can feel good about serving.
To make things even easier, their Subscription Rancher’s Reserve Boxes offer a convenient way to keep your freezer stocked. With options like all beef or curated combinations of Beef + Lamb, Beef + Pork and Pork + Lamb, each box is filled with high-quality cuts selected for both flavor and value, perfect for planning meals and making the most of grilling season. The Beef Boxes are described below:
