One of the few times each year we press pause on our low-carb lifestyle is the week between Christmas and New Year’s. It’s our window to indulge, savor and enjoy the foods we usually call “treats.” And at the top of that list? French fries.
My husband is firmly Team Potatoes; he’ll choose fries over dessert every single time. Honestly, it’s his love language. That’s precisely why these Air-Fried Garlic Parmesan Fries make such a perfect vacation indulgence.
The air fryer delivers golden, ultra-crispy fries with hardly any mess, while keeping things quick and easy. Once they are hot and crunchy, the fries are tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce and finished with a generous shower of Parmesan—bold, savory, and completely irresistible.
These glorious slivers of carb-loving heaven are absolutely worth every single bite!

Now, you can hand-cut potatoes into French fries, but this requires extra work, time, and clean-up. I am not against that, and hand-cut fries are indeed delicious. I have made them before, but when desperation creeps in for something quick, a bag of frozen fries fits the objective, and there is no shame in that. I am going to take the quicker option today with the frozen fries. It will be fine.
Place the frozen French fries in the air fryer basket or tray. It is important not to overcrowd the fries. As a general rule, it is best to fill the space no more than halfway to allow better air circulation. You will have to work in batches. Keep warm in the oven while batches cook in the air fryer.

Cook for 10 minutes at the highest temperature setting. My air fryer only goes up to 400 degrees and that works perfectly. Remove and toss the fries. Cook for another 5-8 minutes, or until the fries reach the desired level of crispiness for your taste.

Place all the French fries in a large bowl. Toss with the garlic butter sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan. Serve immediately.
