I am always very excited when I find a new Keto or low-carb product in the grocery store. I am doubly excited when it is a bread item. I found a low-carb pita bread made by Toufayan that is excellent. I always buy several bread items at a time because I never know if the store will discontinue the item at some point. Because I have collected pita bread over time, I now have quite a few pita bread packages in my freezer. What to do? What to do?…I will make Homemade Pita Chips with my bounty!
Ingredients
1 package Toufayan Low Carb Pita Bread, cut into triangles
2-1/2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dry oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Whisk well.
Cut the pita bread into triangles.
Place the pita triangles in a resealable bag. I like to separate them into one layer to render more pita chips. Gently turn the bag over and over until all the chips are fairly covered with the oil mixture. Shake! Shake! Shake!
Transfer the chips onto a baking sheet and spread in a single layer as best you can.
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve with your favorite dip.
