Freezing Blueberries

Rate this post

I got a bunch of blueberries at Aldi for 92 cents a pint recently. If I buy berries from aldi, they must be consumed immediately, or they must be frozen immediately. When I get an awesome deal like that, I save one pint for snacking, and I freeze the rest. I love having fresh blueberries in my freezer to use in recipes. Hmmmm….I think I see blueberry pancakes in the near future!

Place all the blueberries in a colander and rinse well.

Allow draining for a while. Place the blueberries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Gently pat dry the blueberries with a paper towel.

Place the tray of blueberries in the freezer for at least an hour. Check the blueberries to make sure they are completely frozen before removing them from the freezer.

Remove the blueberries from the freezer and transfer them to freezer bags. Store in the freezer.
