Portobello Pesto Pizza

Caramelized onions, mushrooms and pesto sauce make up the ingredients to one of my favorite pizza combinations.

Ingredients

1 pizza crust, I used a fathead pizza crust

4 Tbsp. butter

2 onions, sliced

1 package white button or baby bella mushrooms, sliced

1 jar pesto sauce

2 cups mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Prepare the crust. and press it into a pizza pan.

In a frying pan with hot melted butter, sauté the onions and mushrooms for about 20-25 minutes until the onions are caramelized.

Pour the contents of a jar of pesto on the pizza crust and spread it to the edges.

Spread the caramelized onions and mushrooms over the top of the pesto.

Spread the cheese on top and bake 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly..
