Mozza Unskewered Snacks

Now look…It is no secret that I am not a fan of skewered foods, but if you like some things on a skewer, then you do you boo! Technically, taking these off the skewer turns it into a salad. They work well on a skewer; truly they do. Don’t skip this recipe because you will miss something very fresh and delicious. You can put it on a skewer….go ahead! Serve it at a party. Your guests will gobble them up! I will use a fork.

Ingredients

1 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning or mix of dried herbs

1 tsp. garlic, minced

1 container grape or cherry tomatoes

1 container marinated mini mozzarella cheese balls, cut in half

1 bunch fresh basil, chiffonade

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning and garlic. Whisk until combined.

In a bowl, combine the grape tomatoes, cheese balls, and fresh basil. Toss well.

Pour the dressing over the tomato and cheese mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss until the tomatoes and cheese are coated. Store in the refrigerator to marinate until serving.

This is an easy and quick snack to throw together with very little effort. Alternatively, you can serve this as a salad to go along with an entree that adds flare to any meal.

  • 1 measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • 1 knife
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 medium serving bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 medium spoon

  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 container grape or cherry tomatoes

  • Salt and pepper to taste
