Mozza (Un)Skewered Snacks

Rate this post

Alright, confession time: skewers and I? We’re not exactly besties. But hey—if you’re a skewer fan, you do you, boo! These Mozza (Un)Skewered Snacks are just as fabulous off the stick (hello, salad!) as they are on it. Fresh, colorful, and oh-so-tasty, they’re perfect for parties—guests will snatch them up in no time. Whether you thread them onto skewers or pile them onto a plate, you can’t go wrong. I’ll stick with my trusty fork… but you go ahead and stab away.

Ingredients

1 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup olive oil

1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning or mix of dried herbs

1 tsp. garlic, minced

1 container grape or cherry tomatoes

1 container marinated mini mozzarella cheese balls, cut in half

1 bunch fresh basil, chiffonade

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning and garlic. Whisk until combined.

In a bowl, combine the grape tomatoes, cheese balls, and fresh basil. Toss well. Or you can thread the grape tomatoes, cheese balls, and fresh basil on a short skewer and drizzle with the dressing and call it a day.

Pour the dressing over the tomato and cheese mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss until the tomatoes and cheese are coated. Store in the refrigerator to marinate until serving.

This is an easy and quick snack to throw together with very little effort. Alternatively, you can serve this as a salad to go along with an entree that adds flair to any meal.
