Fry sauce….drizzle it on french fries, slather it on a burger or hot dog or use it as a dip for veggies. Fast food restaurants around the country have spun out their own version of this humble condiment whose main ingredients are mayonnaise and ketchup. My favorite fry sauce comes from Raisin’ Canes. The only problem I have with their fry sauce is that I never have enough of it.
We don’t get the pleasure of dipping french fries in fry sauce on a keto diet because potatoes are kind of a big no-no, so we use it on sandwiches or fried veggies with an almond flour coating. My son came up with a recipe for fry sauce that will add a zing to your zucchini or anything else you care to eat it on. With his permission, I am sharing it with the world.
Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ketchup
A few dashes of hot sauce
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Taste and adjust seasonings. If you want it spicier, add some more hot sauce or cayenne. If it needs salt, add more salt, If you don’t like pickles, leave them out. That’s it! Let the dipping and slathering begin!
