These chicken thighs are very tender and juicy, not to mention delicious! The thighs cook while putting the rest of the meal together, making this a quick meal for a weekday. The spice in this recipe is so very slight that even those who shy away from spicy food can handle the flavor.
Ingredients
1/4 cup brown sugar Swerve
A pinch of cayenne pepper, or to taste
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
6 bone-in chicken thighs
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar Swerve, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper. Stir to combine well. Mix with 1/2 cup olive oil and stir.
Heat the spice mixture over low heat to dissolve the brown sugar into the other spices. Stir occasionally until it begins to bubble slightly.
Dip each chicken thigh into the sauce mixture. Place chicken n a greased baking sheet or pan. Place in a 375-degree oven and bake for 35 minutes. Remove the chicken from the oven and pour the remaining sauce over the chicken. Bake for another 10 minutes
These are amazing and an alternative to chicken wings when you have a craving for wings, but don’t have any wings on hand!
