Fire Up the Grill with Some Jalapeno Popper Burgers

Rate this post

Once while out of town, I went to a local burger joint with an amazing selection of burgers. It was really hard to choose the perfect burger because they had so many options. I ended up getting a Jalapeno Popper Burger which was so delicious! Cream cheese, jalapenos and pepper jack cheese were enclosed by the juicy ground beef and topped with more cheese and pickled jalapenos on a toasty bun. I liked it so much that I created my version at home.

Ingredients

3 jalapenos, halved lengthwise, seeded, roasted and diced small

1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil

6 bacon strips, cooked crisp and crumbled

1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded

4 slices pepper jack cheese

3 oz. cream cheese, softened

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. lemon pepper

1/2 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. paprika

2 lbs. ground beef

1/2 cup cheddar jack cheese, shredded

4 Keto hamburger buns

4 iceberg lettuce leaves, torn

1 large tomato, sliced

3/4 cup guacamole

Instructions

Place the halved and seeded jalapenos on a baking sheet. Rub with olive oil. Roast in the oven at 400 degrees until they are soft. Remove them from the oven and dice after they have cooled a little bit.

In a bowl, combine the bacon, mozzarella, pepper jack cheese, cream cheese and jalapeno. Mix well. Next, add the garlic, salt, lemon pepper, chili powder, paprika and pepper. Mix well. Finally, add the beef and mix well.

Shape the beef mixture into 8 thin patties.

Spoon the bacon mixture onto the center of 4 of the patties.

Top with the remaining patties and press the edges to seal.

Grill the patties covered over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side. Top with cheddar jack cheese and allow to melt for 2 minutes. You can cover the burgers to help the cheese to melt.

Meanwhile, grill the buns until toasty.

Serve the burgers on the toasted buns and top with guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and any other toppings you might like.
