Air Fried Low-Carb Sticky Chicken Tenders

Rate this post

Not too long ago, I posted a recipe for what I call Sticky Chicken. The rub is what makes this chicken taste so good! It is AMAZING!! Well……. what if I take that rub and mix it with a little Parmesan cheese and roll some chicken tenders around in it. UUUUUMMMMMMM………Whuuuuut! Why didn’t I think of this sooner!!

Ingredients

1 large package of chicken tenders

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 Tbsp. Sticky Chicken Rub (click here for the recipe)

1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

Mix the sticky chicken rub ingredients with the Parmesan cheese.

Place the butter in a bowl or pie plate. Place the parmesan rub mixture in another pie plate. Dip the chicken in the butter and then roll in the Parmesan rub mixture. You do not need to season the tenders with any additional salt and pepper because the rub mixture has plenty of salt and pepper in it plus the parmesan is a little salty.

Place the chicken in the air fryer. My air fryer is not the type that has a drawer. It has racks that slide in and out. If you have the rack style, place the tenders on the rack in a single layer and insert them into the air fryer. If you have an air fryer that is the drawer type, place the tenders in the drawer. You may need to stop the air fryer halfway through the cooking time to shake the drawer to redistribute the tenders inside.

Fry at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. The result is crispy, juicy chicken tenders. These are delicious!
