Oven-Baked Texas Style Barbecue Ribs

Rate this post

Slow-roasted, sticky, sweet, spicy, tangy and tender, Oven-Baked Barbecue Ribs are a favorite. This is one of those recipes that turns out a little differently every time I make it, depending on what I have in the pantry. This time, I used a combination of dry rubs and some sugar-free barbecue sauce. The method for cooking is always the same, though, so these ribs always come out of the oven fork-tender.

Ingredients

1 large package Texas-Style beef ribs

Rub of your choice (I used McCormick’s Mesquite Rub and Killen’s BBQ Rub)

BBQ sauce (I used a sugar-free BBQ sauce)

Instructions

Rub the ribs with a dry rub of your choice. I mixed some Killen’s BBQ rub with some McCormick’s mesquite dry rub. I like this combination, but it is a little spicy. You can use whatever rub is your favorite that suits your family and tastes.

Cover and bake in the oven at 250 degrees for 4 hours.

After four hours, remove the cover and pour some barbecue sauce over the ribs as evenly as possible.

Bake for another 30 minutes uncovered. These ribs are so tender when they come out of the oven.
